Having relentlessly toured Europe and USA since 2013, fast rising Dutch psychedelic rockers BIRTH OF JOY are without doubt a proven live rock sensation! A staggering 172 shows chalked up in 2014 immediately recalls the legendary rock n roll bands of the golden era, and demonstrates that BIRTH OF JOY is a none-stop fireball of energy. The band is a fully oiled machine dripping in blood, sweat and true rock&roll!
Influenced by 60s psychedelia and blues, the band is mesmeric combination of steaming, floor-pumping rock n roll that takes you back to the heady times of the MC5, The Doors and even Pink Floyd, whilst at the same time is peppered with a modern twist of stoner, grunge and punk that works to create a lip-smacking sound of their very own, and ensures BIRTH OF JOY is no straight-forward retro-trip. Latest studio album PRISONER was recorded and produced by Joris Wolff, (De Staat, Within Temptation and Mister and Mississippi) mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys) and released  worldwide in March 2014 to an abundance of positive notices. A live album, recorded in January 29th and 30th in Rennes (FR), is scheduled for release in May 2015.

Signed to Long Branch Records/SPV, Grand Palais/Modulor and Suburban, and a publishing deal with Talpa Music, BIRTH OF JOY are set firm to continue their escalation throughout 2015 and beyond.
