David Evans has been performing country blues (vocal and guitar) since 1962, learning directly from many southern blues musicians of an older generation. Since 1980, he has appeared in many major festivals, clubs and concerts in the US and made over 40 soloist and accompanist tours in Europe.

He is also a member of the Last Chance Jug Band from Memphis. He has also performed with Jan Sobotka (Czech Republic) on the mandolin.

Evans has presented country blues guitar workshops at many venues in the US and abroad, often in conjunction with concerts. He is currently Professor of Music at the University of Memphis.
