William Doyle, a.k.a. East India Youth, a producer and singer, had to throw his guitar away first so as to break through the shell of local fan awareness. He did it with his debut solo record Total Strife Forever which was immediately nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. However, it is not a straightforward record, but a collection that is highly influenced by the handwriting of masters of the ambient. Unlike other, similarly oriented solitaires, William is fully capable in transferring his music into a full-time concert.
