The singer and guitarist from Austin, Texas, is a graduate from Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music. Her voice and compositions are compared to Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse, her technique has been likened to that of her compatriot and current A-star in guitar, Gary Clark, Jr.
Jackie’s crossover of blues, rock, soul and jazz has won exceptional praise especially when delivered live: the witnesses of the gigs have spoken about a great, yet emotional show. They also have indicated that her delivery gives contemporary spirit to old styles too. She definitely is one of the dark horses in this year’s United Islands.
