Although she is often likened to rappers with a guitar or straightforward punk singer-songwriter ladies, Katarzia is different. It seems like her songs resonate with poems that she started to write when she was a little girl. Her debut Generácia Y was released by the cult Slnko Records from Bratislava.

“I once lived with a man I loved; I hated when he played the guitar because the instrument robbed me of the time I could spend with him. When he left my home, I grabbed the guitar myself,” Katarzia said to the Lidovky.cz server. And she added: “When the guitar is resting on my ribs, it becomes a part of me. I can do whatever I wish with my breath and the rhythm. It is a kind of systematic mess.”
