“I compose most of the music and Petr typically joins with the guitar or percussion when the music ideas are complete. Then we work together on the arrangement of the songs,” says Monika Midriaková, the lead author of this electro-folk project. The other half of the duo is Petr Marek from the popular band Midi Lidi, who writes Monika’s lyrics, surprisingly in Slovak. Their concerts have a specific spirit. They both play the keyboards and sing, with Petr playing the guitar occasionally. Monika delivers spoken words and dances, wildly and cheerfully communicates with the audience: this is quite in contrast to the melancholic setting of most of the tracks.
