Some might call his music alternative folk, others would argue that it’s acoustic big beat with art-rock features. There are still others who wouldn’t hesitate to call the musician an unguided missile with the guitar in his hand. All this and much more would characterize Jan “Walda” Valík, experimental poet, occasional guest of the Teplický Šlauch 2000 association of visual artists, writers and aesthetes, assistant performer in the alternative theatre Gilotina-Opona of J. Al. Karchňák, and, most importantly, impulsive singer, composer and experimenter. In his performance he will play straightforward songs resembling the style of Vlasta Třešňák and experiment with noise and his typical silent recitation.
