Each time we hear the first lyrics sung by Jakub Rosák, singer of the band Kapitáni Průmyslu, we can’t help ourselves but think of the legendary Václav Neckář. Just like him, the four-member band staked on Czech lyrics on common, every-day matters. Yet, there’s one thing that makes their hit songs different from those of the outstanding Czech bard: they are built on “shocking aesthetic counterpoints”, as the band says.
